Marina, our talented Head of Art, went to Great Ormond Street Hospital to paint windows on two of the wards to help spread smiles with a seasonal theme. Marina painted six festive windows on Lion Ward, including outlines of scenes that the children on the ward could colour in themselves. Marina also painted seven windows on Fox ward for patients in isolation, and took requests for what the patients in the rooms would like to see.
Marina said, “It’s wonderful to be able to bring some festive cheer to the wards in GOSH with these newly designed windows. I loved being able to create designs that the children on the ward could colour in themselves and also to fulfil the specific requests that some families had for their windows. It’s great to see how window art can help to spread smiles in hospital.”
