Want to get involved with Spread a Smile? We have cookery demonstrations, concerts, sports and challenge events plus a special fundraising dinner every two years. Take a look at our upcoming events below for ideas.
Spread a Smile receives no government funding; we are funded entirely by your support. The generous supporters who take part in our events enable us to continue our work brightening the days of seriously ill children and teenagers.
By supporting our events you are helping children like Chloe, who we first met as a frightened two-year-old who had just been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. Her dad said: 'My Chloe was full of fear until you came into our lives. You make a real difference - it's not just smiles you spread.'
Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon
Sunday 8th October
Run a mile, Spread a Smile!
This wonderful central London Half Marathon takes in some of the city's most famous landmarks and winds through four of London's Royal Parks - Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens. It's the half Marathon's 10th anniversary, and the second year Spread a Smile has runners' places.
The 2017 ballot for the race is now closed!
Terri Jacobson who raced for us last year said: “I can’t even explain how incredible it feels to have done it. To be supported like we were, with love and hugs and sweaty kisses, is the best feeling imaginable! Every penny was worth the current pain!”
Julia Wright, mother of 14-year-old Adam who we have entertained in UCH said: “Well done everyone and thank you for running for such an amazing cause. It brought tears to my eyes just watching this, remembering what a difference the charity made to the lives of our family while Adam was in hospital.”
Join the amazing husband and wife team Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, creative chefs and founders of Honey & Co and Honey & Smoke, for a cooking demonstration.
Sarit and Itamar are known for their mouth-watering food from the Middle East. Get insider cooking tips to wow your dinner party guests and enjoy sampling the dishes afterwards!
Sarit said of their last fundraising brunch for Spread a Smile: “It was our pleasure to entertain Spread a Smile’s supporters with a cookery demonstration. UCH is around the corner from our restaurant and we know that Spread a Smile visit there regularly and provide much needed entertainment for children and young people.”
