Choosing a fundraising idea that appeals to all your friends, colleagues and/or family may seem like an impossible decision. It doesn’t need to be so. The most important elements of any successful event or activity are being very clear about why you are raising money, telling your audience how they can get involved, and letting everyone know what you are aiming to achieve. Plus, of course, keeping it fun and enjoyable for not only your guests but also everyone involved in the organisation. Click on the buttons below for a few ideas on how to get started. If you have any questions or would like to share your ideas with us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be delighted to discuss your plans with you and support your endeavours. Schools & Colleges
The nature of our work makes us a great match for your school fundraising activities. More than any of us children value play in their everyday lives and parents, carers and teachers recognise its importance in their children’s social and mental development. It’s therefore wonderful when school children come together to brighten the lives of those children who are unable to enjoy a normal childhood due to their illness and ongoing hospital treatment – and they’ve always so many fun and active ideas in how to make it happen. Raising awareness of our work with your children and their families is as important as raising funds and we very much value the support of schools in helping us to achieve our goals. As such we will ensure you have a dedicated member of our team to work with you on all charitable activities and, where possible, will also bring a Spread a Smile entertainer along to an assembly or event so that your children, teachers and parents realise the impact of their support.
“We wanted to let you know that our Fun Day in memory of Matthew raised just over £2600!!! We are delighted with this result. It was a fantastic day and the children absolutely loved it. Please could you thank everyone from the Spread a Smile team who was involved. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you gave us in the run up to this event and on the day.”
