Run for smiles
Why not join Team Smile for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 7 April, or if you want to go the extra mile, there’s the Brighton Marathon on the same weekend.
For something a little different, check out the Tough Mudder challenges which are great for teams and are held all across the country.
Walk for smiles
Join us for an awe inspiring 5-day trek across the Sahara Desert in March 2024. Or why not challenge yourself to 100km in the Thames Path Ultra Challenge. If mountains are your thing, then there’s the incredible National Three Peaks Challenge, taking on the UK’s three highest peaks.
Cycle for smiles
If you love cycling then we have the RideLondon-Essex 100 on 26 May which offers over 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighbouring Essex.
For those of you who prefer the seaside, you could take on the London to Brighton bike ride on 15 September for a day trip to the beach.
Leap for smiles
For the adrenalin enthusiasts out there, join us in 2024 for an experience you will never forget by taking on the UK’s highest freefall abseil from the ArcelorMittal Orbit (the UK’s tallest sculpture).
Or bounce into the new year by challenging yourself and your friends with a 160ft crane bungee jump.

Between 1 November – 11 December 2023, an incredible 540 volunteers joined us at Spread a Smile HQ in London to pack 1,450 Smile Hampers to be delivered to seriously ill children and teenagers at home and in hospital and to their siblings too.
During December, and including Christmas day, we will have carried out 58 in-person visits to our NHS hospital and hospice partners, helping to spread some festive cheer. Plus we’ve supported many of their Christmas parties.



Amardeep joined our Director of Services, Laura Walter to help spread some joy and wonder through the art of magic to children and young people receiving treatment at the hospital. It really was a very special visit.
The evening was sold out, with 400 guests joining us for an incredible night of standup comedy from the extremely talented Rob Beckett, Laura Smyth, Dinesh Nathan, Maisie Adam, Thanyia Moore and Tom Allen.
room was filled with so much joy and it really brought home just how important smiles and laughter are. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone who made this brilliant event possible and for helping to raise such a brilliant amount to ensure we can keep spreading smiles to our families when they need us most.”
