Entertainment is at the heart of Spread a Smile’s ethos and we realise that our wonderful team of entertainers cannot visit every child, every day in hospital which is why we continue to invest in our digital services, Smile TV and Smile Spaces. All our digital initiatives allow us to reach thousands of hospitalised children and continue to spread 24/7 smiles.
Launched in March 2020, Smile TV is Spread a Smile’s own channel featuring hundreds of performances from Spread a Smile’s much loved entertainers. Featuring magic, fairies, nursery rhymes, pop songs and more as well as messages from some very famous faces.
Smile TV has been made possible with thanks to Kaltura. Kaltura is the world’s leading video platform with a mission to power any video experience for any organisation. Kaltura’s products are used by thousands of global entertprises, media companies, service providers and educational institutions, engaging hundreds of millions of viewers at home, at work and at school.
Smile Spaces provide the opportunity to bring together a child & parent in hospital, their family at home and one of our entertainers for a virtual bedside visit.
We are also able to arrange group Smile Spaces for children who are together in hospital but isolated in their rooms so they can enjoy Spread a Smile entertainment together.

We’re also offering virtual Smile Parties so that your child can celebrate their birthday or other special occasion with their friends as well as their family. We’ll arrange for a Spread a Smile entertainer to run the virtual party with some fun surprises for your child to make their day extra special. They can choose if they want a magician, singer, fairy or even our fabulous spontaneous poet.
